Position traders hold stocks for weeks, months or years. The daily hands-on time commitment is low, but it can be a long time until you realise profits.
Day trading, on the other hand, relies on stocks being bought and sold within the same day, sometimes within hours or minutes. It’s very fast-paced and requires constant attention during market hours.
Swing trading is the sweet spot between position and day trading. It relies on quick trades (most fall within a 5- to 10-day timeframe) and smaller profit targets, compounded over and over.
The 'Current trade' is list holds stocks that satisfy the
criteria stated in the CAN SLIM methodology and are computed to the list when they
show technical strength. Although there are quite a few stocks that meet the above
standards, we make sure only the most ideal ones are suggested. When the stocks
breach our stop-loss mandate or hit the profit goal, they are eliminated from the
list.
Traders can buy these stocks when they are added to the 'current trade' section.
Investors are notified of the additions and removals through app notifications and
e-mail alerts, based on which they can invest
Buying the right stock at the right time is the solution to half of your selling problems. You should buy the stock in the suggested buy range. For instance, if it was added last week and is trading in the recommended range, you can take new positions. You must watch the prevailing market situation, even if the stock is available in the buy range. Their market direction could have altered after our recommendation. Therefore it is incredibly important to watch the market trend before any new purchases. If you prefer a stock in the current trade list but have missed buying it as the stock was not available within the perfect buy range or as the market direction was unfavorable, do not fret! The market presents extensive possibilities for other stocks or new entry points into your favorite ones.
You will get a quick overview of each trade in a trade setup, which includes the buy zone, profit goal, and stop-loss. It will provide a picture of the technical and fundamental positions of a stock. Usually, the trade setup will be mailed in advance to have ample time to prepare and execute the trade. Nevertheless, we may also add a trade in the current list during intraday, which calls for swift action.
A trade concludes once the stock touches the profit goal or hits the stop-loss point. These trades are then transferred to the 'past trade' segment. You receive a snapshot of every closed trade, and this list is easy to sort and search.
We recommend taking 8–10% of the total trading capital in each trade and following our notes on Partial Profit Booking, Full Profit Booking, and Stop Loss. We suggest initiating buy on every recommendation and buying the ones trading in recommended ranges. Short listing the stocks from our recommendations could be a costly mistake. You can allocate about 10% of the total trading capital in each trade. For example, suppose total trading capital is 10 lakhs you can allocate 10% of 10 lakhs in each trade that comes to 1 lakhs. After holding the needed number of stocks, if an attractive opportunity arises and you think that the stock is worth purchasing, you should buy it only after selling off your least attractive stock. It becomes harder to keep track of your investments with more stocks you hold. The purpose is to have a positive batting average.
Stocks are computed to the 'current trade list' as per their technical and fundamental health, utilizing the CANSLIM approach and other technical reports. Many stocks can qualify the CANSLIM rules. However, they are added to our Model Portfolio only when they break out of their bases, close firmly near their pivots, or reverse their trend after making days of tight areas. Stocks are eliminated from the Model Portfolio when they hit stop-loss or our profit goals. Considering it is a short-term trading strategy, it is normal to have regular additions and removals.
